I learned about this spot from another Mom at By My Side Playgroup . The directions say 30 minutes away over the bridge which is in our range so I thought we should check it out. I got totally lost trying to find it because if you read this blog you know that me+ NJ+ MapQuest do not exactly mix.

My Little Adventures is an adventure to get to from Philly but it was well worth the trip. It is a great play space with a ton of really, really nice slides and climbing equipment all around the room. They open play hours Monday thru Saturday.

The boys also really liked the gym mats and the giant long tube that you can climb, jump and roll all over.  There is also a small section with a bunch of play kitchens and food. The place is well done, clean safe and I wish it was closer to our house. Their open play times are also affordable. Together the boys were a little over $11. The layout of the space is also really good. It is not small and it is not huge.

The whole place has a very nice relaxed vibe about it. For example they ask that you keep you kids within hugging distance and the play upbeat music that the kids like dancing to.

You are not allowed to bring in outside food but they have a super affordable cafe.  The Lily Pad Cafe has great organic and gluten free options. Both boys loved their food and at $4.50 each (which included a small side and a drink) I was thrilled that they actually sat down and ate for once. It did take us over 15 minutes to get our food but now that you know that you can plan ahead. The concept is that you order your food, put your number on your table and they bring it to your table when it is ready….the whole time you are playing and the kids are distracted until it is time to eat! It is worth mentioning that they also have a Green Smoothie of the day. I never have time to eat and this was chalked full of veggies, tasted amazing, and I actually got to finish it before we left. Score one for me…I actually got to have lunch today…sitting down. Lunch for the three of us was $12.50. Good price and we all actually got to eat makes this a steal.

My Little Adventures is what The Little Treehouse (see my review under The Little Treehouse – NEVER AGAIN) completely fails at and what I hope the Nest will one day be. Bright, airy, fun and easy. The boys had a great time and if I can figure out a quicker way to get there we will be back.

Oh and I always think it is worth commenting on the social-ness of the Moms. The Moms were really nice and social at My Little Adventures. They were busy playing with their kids and not with their iPads or texting….which seems to be the latest trend when I visit the Nest.
