KID ZONE @ ADVENTURE AQUARIUM1 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08103 visit website>
I don’t like writing bad reviews. But I hate feeling duped by kid places with false advertising and just bad set up…especially when the ticket price and parking is really high.
The new Kid Zone at the Adventure Aquarium is open and it is about exciting as a spoon. Yes, that is right I said a spoon. So before you spend the money go to your utensil drawer…look at your spoons….and…yep that’s it. On the website they call this out as their biggest renovation ever so we thought we would check it out. My 2.5 year old zipped through it in under 5 minutes. My 15 months old was not interested in it at all. So the area was too simple for toddlers and not interesting enough for a new walker.
To boot the Kid Zone is open to all ages. If you have ever been to the Adventure Aquarium then you know they book way too many school trips on a daily basis. ( Even Please Touch Museum blocks off Monday for no school trips) So the toddlers are supposed to navigate the Kid Zone with a ton of rowdy school kids pushing themselves into an exhibit that is way too small for them. The whole thing is an ill planned waste of time surrounded by glorified fish tanks. The Kid Zone does not have anything in it that boys have not already played with somewhere else.
The Kid Zone is so small and so boring if you were thinking of going there to check it out don’t waste your time.
Side note: I am not a fan of the cashier that let the teenager cut in front of me while I was soothing Ollie. My food was out and so was my money. Oh and that conversation about nothing that she decided to have with her manager before she decided to ring up my over priced $3.00 soft pretzel…while my kids are screaming…she could have skipped that. Adventure Aquarium is off the list for all future trips for my crew
