Over a few cocktails in a remote location called the Tiki Bar my friend Jess asked me to include some Mom Only things on the blog. Most my shopping is done on-line. It is easy, I am super fantastic at it and right it is EASY. Recently the barage of STYLEMINT.com ads broke me down and I ventured on to their site. I am not embasrresed to say it took me a long time to figure the whole thing but now I LOVE it. Love it big time. Here is the deal.
The Olsen Twins (yep) love cool T-shirts and want to share their love of cool t-shirt with you. So they created a “cool kid’s” T-shirt club for women called STYLEMINT. Because you and the twins are BFF they let you join for free (they are super sweet). They make you take a personality / style quiz which one paid blogger called really fun. I found it to be annoying and most the time none of the three options applied to me but it is quick so you suck it up and do it. From there you are officially in the twins $29.99 (shipping included) cool T-shirt club.
So what does that mean? It is so simple it is confusing. Every month STYLEMINT emails you the latest styles that fit your style profile. Your own “look book ” if you will. You are “technically” signed up to buy one item a month. This whole thing starts with your first purchase. Most items are $29.99- $59.99. They call it a credit…meaning you need to spend this. EXCEPT if you view the styles and decide that nothing will do…between the 1st and 5th of every month you can opt to skip that month and you will not be charged.
Once I figured all that out I decided to give it try. Okay they were also having a buy 1 get one free promo (never hurts right?). The one thing I have to say is that the twins can be a little avant guard so the styling can be a little …how do I say this…down right unflattering and God awlful on some styles. Bacisally they tuck the T-shirts into bold super high waisted shirts that no normal person would wear.
I totally grazed over this awesome style at first…..
