Fall is coming and I am already mentally and physically preparing. I have playgroup potlucks, playdates and special kid events lined up and twirling around in my head. Just as the crisp weather hits and playground time gets cut in half I see a ton of chatter from parents about classes. So I thought it would be worth mentioning some open house classes that are free for you to try in Music and Dance. If you are interested I would register your little one because class space is always very limited.
Music Classes:
This month you will be able to try the All Around the World Music Classes at two locations for FREE. Ali’s Wagon in Fairmount on September 4th at 11:30 and Duck, Duck Goose in Merchantville on September 8th from 9-12. I mentioned Duck, Duck, Goose in a recent post and I always hear that parents are willing to go over the bridge for a good class.
Art Classes:
Again Duck, Duck, Goose is throwing their hat in the art class ring. Saturday Morning Art is for 4-8 year olds and will start in October. Enrollment deadline is September 28th. The six-week classes has a different theme each week such as African Mask making, South American Clay Beading and Japanese Fans.
Dance Classes:
I have not been to Living Arts Dance Studio in Northern Liberties but every time it comes up on the mom forums there is nothing but positive and glowing feedback. They will be having a FREE Children’s Open House event on September 8th where your child will get to try all the classes. They have tumbling, ballet, jazz and hip hop. Ignore the area when you go. It is on the edge of NoLibs in-between Front Street and Delaware Ave. RSVP info@livingartsdance.com
