This is my PSA for all parents that would like to sit in a music class that they themselves would actually enjoy. The Lara and Joe Show will be kicking off their weekly Mommy’n Me Music Group this Wednesday at the NoLibs Community Center at 3rd and Fairmount. I have talked about this class before and it is a HipsterHenry.com Top Pick (which do not come easy). It is a laid back group and instruments are provided for the kids and unlike most music classes the parents are free to have a conversation or actively participate in the music. This is huge to me. I mean you are getting out just as much for them as you are for you. It’s a free play music group with familiar songs and music activities. The cost is $10 per family. These classes are 100% drop in and there is no long-term commitment. To me it has always been a music class with a side of mama support group. The show is great for infants and toddlers alike. And if you live in another neighborhood and are on the fence about coming…I promise you it will be the best decision you have made this week (and there is plenty of street parking). Oh and feel free to bring snacks and whatever else you need to keep your little one entertained. You will find a group of wonderful helpful mothers and some great songs to boot.
