HipsterHenry.com asked We Kids Rock of Wilmington, Delaware to come on up here and give toddler guitar lessons and we are happy to announce that they agreed! Yes, there are guitar lessons in the city but these are the only ones being offered to 3-5 year olds. I wanted this for my boys and I figured I couldn’t be the only one in the city. Based on the fact that the first class filled up in 24 hours from our Facebook Fans I was right. No worries we have added a second class! Each class consist of 5-6 students and we currently have three available spots open.
Class Description:
We will start with a free demo class on November 8th and then dive into a 5 week series where your little ones will transition from the guitar as a toy to a musical instrument, keeping their interest and enthusiasm at the same time. They’ll strum along with their teacher to open and close the class, work on very basic guitar theory and during the session will be introduced to a great players (Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Chet Atkins to name a few).
Cost:
$150 plus the cost of a guitar which will be about $30.
Class Day and Time:
The free demo class that is included in this series will be Thursday, November 8th. This will be the kick off class for the 5 week series with classes always being on Thursdays (skipping Thanksgiving). A make-up class will be offer at the end of the series. The time of the second class is still currently being determined but it looks like it will be 4:45 or 5:00 pm.
Location:
Northern Liberties Community Center / 3rd and Fairmount
Duration:
40 minutes

Rock-on!
I have to give Creative Clubhouse in Havertown a huge thank you. When we went to their Open Studio Playtime is when I heard about We Kid’s Rock guitar lessons. If you live out that way make sure you check them out and the classes.
