Stir Crazy. Anyone else? This Saturday morning there are two really cool things I want to put on your “I’m an awesome parent” list. Now they are happening at the same time so you have to pick.
Old City is being handed over to the kids. Start at Arden Theatre Company, 40 N. 2nd Street, to receive a complete map of activities. The sha-bang is from Race to Market Street! Each location will have a red balloon in front to signify their participation in the event. This event is FREE and you will get to experience Drama and Dance classes, Scavenger Hunt, Face-Painting, Interactive Music, Arts and Crafts, and much more. Food provided by Nick’s Roast Beef and Cuba Libre.
Look for red balloon at these locations:
Arden Theatre Company/ Artists & Craftsman Supply/ Betsy Ross House/ Christ Church/ The Clay Studio/ Fleischer Art Memorial/National Constitution Center/Never Too Spoiled/ Olde City Day School/ Painted Bride Arts Center/ Philadelphia Animal Welfar Society (PAWS)/ Philadelphia City Paper/ The Philadelphia Dance Academy/ Susquehanna Bank/ Young Rembrandt’s/ Zoom Dance
And because I am walking I will share that my favorite place to park is the Penn Landing Bridge!
Bring your bell. Bring your helmets and mount up because families on bicycles are taking over the city streets this Saturday. It is the second ride for the Philly Kidical Mass Ride and I have to say even though I can’t make it I really want to do this. I cart H & O around in the bike trailer to the beach but I rarely use it in the city. This is the perfect way to change that and get comfortable. Count me in for the next one!
