   MY STORY

HipsterHenry.com started after I had my first child. The city I had known for 12 years suddenly changed. I couldn’t get my stroller into my favorite shops, my schedule was no longer my own and family time became much more important. I quickly learned after some bad outings that most reviews of local places are paid. I wanted to create something that offered the truth on what to do with your kids parent to parents. With real details and honest feedback.

After I had my second child I had to keep two little boys, 17 month apart, busy and engaged without going totally crazy. So we started trying everything Philadelphia had to offer and turned into the experts of all things kids and family in this city.

We starting writing about our adventures to help other families find great things to do and know exactly what to expect from local businesses. We hope that you find the website helpful and find it in your heart to excuse the typos. Family first, blogging second and often late at night makes for a few typos here and there.

Have Great Adventures!

XOXO

  • Loved the post on Freedom Park- we plan to go this afternoon. Have you been to the Creative Clubhouse in Havertown? We are recent transplants and
happened upon this great space. My two year old loved the drop in open art studio (unlimited visits available with membership). They have all sorts of stuff going on here. I went back for a Friday night adult craft class- for $20 I got to have a fun, creative night out plus free dinner & wine! They have free parent seminars coming up and a moms vendor night. Check them out!

  • I have been to Creative ClubHouse it is a hike for us but Ollie really liked it.
