If you just walk into Millesime and just browse and don’t take the opportunity to talk to owner, Jinous Kazemi, you are cheating yourself. From local to across the world every item in her store has been hand picked and has a great story behind it. The designers she carries are as exotic as the items they create. At Millesime you will find a great piece from an artist in Fishtown next to a bag that was produced in a barn in the French countryside. I fell in love with way too many items. Mostly I loved all the rich structured looking bags and jackets because my life these days is anything but.When you stop in be sure to ask her are about the great braclet line that looks like glass and feels like flubber. Also take a stroll by the jewerly created by LENA KLAX because New Yorkers have been calling daily to track these pieces down since they have been seen on a Euro Rapper. ( I am telling you her stories do not disappoint!)

I fully admit I have not gone into Millesime too much because I have found it intimiating and I always have my boys with me and I know not every shop owner loves to have little ones with little hands in their stores. Well there was no need to think that because Jinous is the mother of five and woo’d Oliver in a few seconds. It might have something to do with her accent but either way Oliver was pretty enchanted while I shopped.
