It would take me a few months before I actually walked in and realized…that homeless woman was right. The Velvet Lily on Liberties Walk is an upscale erotica shop. Yep I know you want me to stop right there. But stay with me for a little bit. The owner Khara Cartagena designed the shop specifically to make women comfortable and her top selling item isn’t what you might think. It is actually a portable glass fireplace. She can’t keep them in stock. She has all the other stuff you are thinking of too but only carries the best of the best from lines all over the world.
But I would have to say I was most surprised at how much I would like the pole dancing demonstration.
1. Never knew the pole could spin
2. Had no idea how much ab control you need to stay on the pole
3. Now I understand why they wear those shoe
4. Apparently it is impossible not to say Whoa, Whoa, Whoa as you spin around the pole
For housewives… for lady hipsters… for brides this would make a fun night out for a small group of friends.
