At the end of the Jersey Turnpike (Exit O) is a little town on an island called Cape May. Like Vatican City it is so different from the rest of New Jersey it is like is own country. The stigma of the “Jersey Shore” does not apply here and at times it can feel like you are on an MGM Grand set of a 1920 beach movie.
I have spent every summer of my life in Cape May and so far so have the boys. It is a great family oriented place hidden from the giant ferris wheel lights of Wildwood and just 90 minutes outside of Philadelphia. One of my favorite things to do in Cape May other then the beach is to eat. There are plenty of great places to go and plenty of not so great places that cater to the tourist.
I am working on building this section up but if you have questions about Cape May I know every inch and would be happy to help. Just contact me at sibyl@hipsterhenry.com.
