This was a tough review for me. Hence me just posting it even though we went 3 weeks ago. The reason I am having trouble is because it was totally my kind of night. The food was great, our friends that joined us were a ton of fun and the service was great. However it was not creative enough to draw me back anytime soon.
The interior was hit with the Martha stick and the whole place looks like Diane Keaton’s Hamptons home in the movie “Somethings Gotta Give.” Even though it is really pretty I am used to being wow’d by Starr interiors and this doesn’t really have anything you have not seen before.
That said the food and drinks were great. My drink was called The Dennis and he was super good so I highly recommend you try that. The oysters from the raw bar were so good we ordered another round. They perfectly complemented our shrimp and grits and steak fried lobster tail appetizers. The burger was sublime (fries could have been better) and the lobster roll did not disappoint. It is almost as good as the Oyster House on Sansom Street.
As far as bringing little kids… It is doable but menu wise there really isn’t anything for them. Because it is busy and loud no one will notice if they have a tantrum but I would keep this as more of a date night option.
