Strike 10. I don’t know why I keep trying Darling’s Diner but I am disappointed every time. It is hard to find a place to take little kids out to eat. A successful meal requires great service, food that is quick to the table and enough noise and hub bub around you that you are not the loudest ones in the joint. To me that screams diner. However Darling’s is anything but “on it” when it comes to food and service.

I have been there in the morning, at lunch and at dinner. Even when we stopped in to get a milkshake ($6…whatttt?) it took for-ev-er. I have never had an easy visit and I have also never had an amazing meal there. For example I went today and our food took so long to come out that I had to box it up 5 minutes after it came out. The boys did their best to try and be patient but seriously there is only so much a 1 and 2 year old can take.  Hasta La Vista…Darling.

Thanks for the review i have been thinking of taking my 6yr. old there and after what you wrote I’ll find another pancake joint. Happy i didn’t mine or his time.

    • No problem that is why we are here. Check out Honey Sit n’ Eat (review on site if you are interested) or Silk City. Have not made my way to Silk City for breakfast yet but it is on the list. Continental (Old City) is also super kid friendly. When you find a spot you like let us know!
