Tonight I got a chance to check out Hikari Sushi on Liberties Walk with 10 year old Hipster Henry.com Food Contributor PhilliJilli. PJ is no stranger to good sushi so she was an excellent choice for this girl’s night out.

With her favorite being Morimoto it is hard to go anywhere else. That said PJ was not a huge fan of the miso soup but found the maki’s to be pretty decent. Overall the service was great, everyone was really nice and the food came out quickly.

For me with two little ones at home I can’t be running all over the city for sushi and need to work with what is closest. I have had some really great take out from Hikari and tonight’s food was pretty good. It is missing a little something but overall I would say it is worth trying. I have never seen it really busy in there so it would be fine for little ones. It does take them a little bit when you order take out so make sure you order 30-40 minutes before you want it. Open seven days a week and is B.Y.O.B.
