Rittenhouse Park
18TH AND WALNUT STREETS
PHILADELPHIA, PA 19103
This should be renamed the “see and be seen park.” Kept up by the upper crust of the city this is supposed to be Philadelphia’s gem. As a once power user of this park I can say it is nice but when you get up close a little disappointing. Some days trying to find a clean spot of grass to sit on is challenging between litter bugs and people not pick up after their pooches. Really the only reason people go there is to star at each other. Residents treat the center like a catwalk as they go to and from work and the jobless college students treat hacking saking like an ultimate sport.
In August the Concerts in the Park on Wednesday night are a lot of fun and packed!
You can pay more for this vouyerism experice and make it official by grabbing a bit to eat at the two most popular restaurants in the area: PARC and Rouge. For a grab and go bite to take to the park that is affordable and yummy go to Tuscany Cafe.
